Air Borealis’ Float Plane Operations

Air Borealis at Otter Creek Seaplane Base

From June to September, Air Borealis brings Labrador’s wilderness to life with seasonal float plane operations. Using Twin Otter aircraft equipped with floats, flights depart from the Otter Creek seaplane base in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, offering access to some of the most remote and breathtaking areas in the region. Many of these lakes, rivers, and camps are unreachable by road, making float planes the ultimate gateway to true northern adventure.

Partnering with local outfitters and tourism operators, Air Borealis connects visitors and residents to world-class fishing, hunting, and backcountry experiences deep in the heart of Labrador. These operations not only unlock incredible outdoor opportunities but also play a vital role in supporting tourism, local businesses, and the regional economy.
